Xtra Skills is a well established innovative company. We provide high quality, cost effective and consistent training and assessment to all our customers requiring certification or who are pursuing careers in the fields of gas, water and oil. We also act as an academic advisory and support centre, our dedicated staff have many years gas industry experience. Courses

Xtra Skills provide ACS training and assessment for Domestic, Commercial, Cartering, LPG, and Emergency Service Provider gas engineers.
We also offer OFTEC, Hot Water Safety Systems, Water Regulations, and Energy Efficiency courses.
To complement these courses we offer a Managed Learning Program for new entrants into the gas industry.
 
Domestic
We provide a full range of domestic gas training and domestic courses allowing you to choose the right combination for you.
LPG
These courses are designed for operatives in the LPG sector or wishing to add to their existing range of competencies
Commercial Heating
We offer a wide range of ACS non-domestic assessments including initial, reassessment and changeover modules.
Commercial Catering
The route to catering competence is via a generic catering core with commercial catering specific modules
OFTEC
Xtra Skills OFTEC assessment packages can cover a combination of the three main OFTEC certificates: OFT101, OFT105E and OFT600A with or witout Training Manuals.
Building Regulations
Competent Persons Schemes were introduced by the government to allow individuals and enterprises to self-certify that their work complies with the Building Regulations as an alternative to submitting a building notice or using an approved inspector.
Managed Learning Program
The aims and objectives of the course are to train new entrants into the gas industry, up to a level of competence where the candidate can be successfully assessed under the ACS scheme for operatives in Domestic Core Gas Safety (CCN1) and Central Heating and Water Heaters (CENWAT). The course is approved by IGEM and certificated by LCL Awards.
